About the Online Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing
Cultivate your craft in a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program that offers the flexibility to succeed in class, at work and as a writer.
EOU’s low-residency program offers immersive learning opportunities to help you reach your potential. The two-week summer residency lets you engage in personal writing that often encourages stories and poems inspired by the Pacific Northwest’s grand and complex landscape. Our faculty and visiting authors will stimulate your creativity during intensive poetry, fiction and nonfiction workshops and at evening readings and conversations. You can also make lasting connections by networking with other writers.
Hone your abilities further during online courses and individualized study with talented faculty who excel in each genre. In the optional Landscape, Ecology, and Community concentration, you can learn to write stories that inspire greater ecological engagement and literacy. Plus, gain hands-on editing and publishing experience through our campus literary magazine, program newsletter, and other opportunities.
